Search for all Maid Cafes in Akihabara
1.
No physical contact
Physical contact with Maids is strictly prohibited. That means, do not touch the Maids.
2.
Restrictions on photography
Photos of food and drinks are generally allowed, but taking photos of Maids or other customers is not allowed. When in Japan, always ask permission before taking photos. This includes food and drinks. Often you can get a picture with your favorite Maid in the form of a Cheki (small Polaroid picture).
3.
Respect the privacy of Maids
You may not ask Maids for personal information. This includes their real names, personal social media, address, and other personal information.
4.
No meetings outside the Cafe
Customers may not ask Maids to meet outside the Cafe. This includes asking for dates or arranging any type of meeting outside the Cafe. All interactions should take place within the Cafe.
5.
No inappropriate behavior
Inappropriate conversations and behavior are strictly prohibited. Do not say or do anything that may make Maids feel uncomfortable.
Additional guidelines
A few other things to keep in mind:
~Conversation
Keep the volume of your voice generally low and in line with the Cafe's volume. Avoid speaking too loudly.
~Answering the Phone
When answering the phone, move away from the table and away from other customers (outside or in the lobby, for example).
~Stay in your seat
Do not switch seats without first asking a Maid first. Generally, as long as the Cafe isn't too crowded, they will likely be okay with you changing seats.
~Roaming the Cafe
Considered polite to stay in your seat and not wander around the Cafe.
~Talking to other customers
Most customers are there to have to have fun and relax. In general, engaging with other customers is mostly on the case by case basis, so it's best to read the room.
~General Politeness
In Japan, etiquette is very important, and you are expected to show respect and gratitude not only in these Cafes but throughout the country.
These are general rules, but individual Cafes may have their own rules. Always be aware of the Cafe's specific rules.

身体的接触の禁止
メイドとの身体的接触は厳しく禁止されています。つまり、メイドに触れないでください。
2.
写真撮影の制限
食べ物や飲み物の写真は基本的に許可されていますが、メイドや他のお客様の写真を撮ることは許可されていません。日本にいるときは、写真を撮る前に必ず許可を取ってください。これには食べ物や飲み物も含まれます。お気に入りのメイドさんとの写真をチェキ形式で撮ることができることがよくあります。「小さなポラロイド写真」

メイドのプライバシーの尊重
メイドに個人的な情報を尋ねることはできません。これには本名、個人のソーシャルメディア、住所、その他の個人情報が含まれます。
4.
カフェ外での面会の禁止
お客様はメイドにカフェ外で会うように頼むことはできません。これにはデートの誘いやカフェ外での会議も含まれます。す べてのやり取りはカフェ内で行ってください。
5.
不適切な行動の禁止
不適切な会話や行動は厳しく禁止されています。メイドが不快に感じるようなことを言ったり、したりしないでください。

他にも覚えておくべきことがいくつかあります：
～会話
声のボリュームは一般的に低く保ち、カフェの音量に合わせてください。あまりにも大声で話すことは避けてください。
～電話の応対
電話に出る際は、テーブルから離れ、他のお客様から離れた場所（外やロビーなど）に移動して対応してください。
～席を離れないでください
メイドに確認せずに席を移動しないでください。一般的に、カフェが混雑していなければ、席を移動しても問題ない場合が多いです。
～カフェ内を歩き回ること
席に座ったままで、カフェ内を歩き回らないのが礼儀とされています。
～他の客との会話
ほとんどのお客様は楽しんだりリラックスしたりするために来ています。一般的に、他の客との会話はケースバイケースなので、その場の雰囲気を読み取ることが大切です。
～全体的に礼儀正しく
日本では、礼儀が非常に重視されており、メイドカフェだけでなく国全体で尊重と感謝を示すことが求められます。
これらは一般的なルールですが、個々のカフェには独自のルールがある場合があります。常にカフェの特定のルールに注意してください。
